Premium Member Resources: https://ninjanerd.org Ninja Nerds! In this lecture, Professor Zach Murphy presents on the Anatomy of the Abdomen. We begin with the boundaries of the abdominal cavity, using sagittal, axial, and coronal views to identify the diaphragm, pelvic inlet, abdominal wall muscles, and posterior structures. We then divide the abdomen into four quadrants and review the major organs found in each, connecting their locations to patterns of abdominal pain. Next, we introduce the nine abdominal regions and the planes used to define them. Finally, we review the transpyloric plane and its key anatomical landmarks.
